<div itemprop="description">Aileen Gregory <br />1918-2015 <br /> <br />&ldquo;A life well lived&rdquo; <br />Aileen Gregory died very peacefully at the Oakville hospital with family at her bedside, in her 97th year, on February 25th 2015. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, friends and hundreds of Facebook friends. <br /> <br />Born Aileen Kelly McKinnon before the end of World War One, Aileen and her twin sister Elaine, and brothers Donald and Douglas, were raised in Vancouver. At the University of British Columbia she was a graduate,prom queen and valedictorian. Following completion of Teachers College she taught at North Bend and Burnaby B.C.. She remained in contact with her students all her life. Aileen was community president inthe Town of Mount Royal Quebec during Trudeaumania, executive assistant at Ogilvys and she travelled the world. She remained very active on the Internet and actively involved until the very end of her life in current affairs and financial markets. But most important, she was a loving wife to Alfred Joseph Gregory and loving mother to four children. Ten days before she died she declared that she had a &ldquo;full and rewarding life with no regrets.&rdquo; <br /> <br />Predeceased by her husband Joe and son Ron, Aileen is survived by Bob (Suzanne), David (Marlene) and daughter Marlene. Grandchildren Carl (Waad), Danielle (Ronney), Dawn, Tracy (John), Joey (Cailyn), Michael, and Steven (Hyun). Great-grandchildren:Zach, Allison, Bryson, Ophelia and TBA. Aileen is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives, including brother-in-law Dr. Kenneth Gregory (Marilyn). <br /> <br />Her funeral will take place at the Oakview Funeral Home on 56 Lakeshore Road Oakville Ontario on March 23 2015 at 12 noon pm.
