David, beloved husband of Wendy of 36 years. Loving father of Lara, Daniel, Hannah and the late Erin. Dear son of Juanita Hicks, Scott DeBow and stepson of the late Darryll Walker. Brother of Chris Walker and his wife Della of Ohio and the late Jonathan.. Dave had an exceptional gift for training family, detection, and law enforcement dogs and was a lifetime member and judge of the United States Police Canine Association Region 19. He also devoted his time to the 1st Bronte Scouts and was a member in good standing of the Claude M. Kent Lodge #681 District A, Hamilton.. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at Harbour Banquet and Conference Centre, 2340 Ontario Street, Oakville from 4pm - 7pm with tributes beginning at 5:30pm. The family wishes to thank Dr. D. Hedley and staff of Princess Margaret Hospital, Dr. L. Benjamin, R.N. Glenann Vincent, R.N. Pamela Tracz, PSW Gustavo (Gus) Elias and staff from Acclaim Health, Bayshore Homecare for their excellent and compassionate care.
