Much loved by Robert's children, Reg Owens (Janice), Susan Owens (Don) and especially Janet Marshall, a devoted daily visitor to Trudie with her Dad as Trudie suffered declining health over the past two years.
Proud Nana to Meghan Nicholls (Alex), Andrea Williams (Jon), Morgan McWatters, Drew and Colin Marshall, Robert Owens, Jacqueline and Lorraine Royal and great grandmother to her "little people", Makaio and Amaris, Alyssa and Shay.

A passionate and lifelong learner, Trudie was a graduate of the University of Toronto and continued her learning both in and out of the classroom, experiencing real world adventures from the Arctic Circle to the Great Wall of China, with many visits to Finland to see her extended family.

Trudie was a founding member of Advent Lutheran Church of Don Mills. In recent years she spent happy winters in Fort Myers with Robert and many friends. Over the past 2 years she had wonderful friends and caregivers at Extendicare Mississauga.

She developed friendships along the way with many, but her family was what she treasured most. Always supportive and encouraging, we’ll miss her tireless cheerleading.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Meadowvale Community Church at 2630 Inlake Court, Mississauga, L5N 2A7 on Saturday, October 18 at 2:30pm.
