<div itemprop="description"><br />The family of Philip David Moss deeply regrets to announce his death on Saturday, October 4th, 2014. <br /> <br />Born on January 16, 1936 in Stourbridge, Worcestershire, England, the youngest of three children born to George Wilfred and Florence Gertrude (nee Watts). Pre-deceased by his eldest brother, Wilfred and survived by his older brother Maurice. <br /> <br />Philip served in the Second Battalion, The Parachute Regiment of the British Army and later for a period in the SAS. After finishing military service in the UK he began his life as a sales representative. This career, he continued when he emigrated to Canada in 1963 with his wife and two small children. A third child was born in Vancouver. <br /> <br />The family lived all over Canada including Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and finally moved back to Ontario where Philip enjoyed selling real estate. He later became a representative in the securities industry where he was still employed at the time of his death. <br /> <br />Philip was an avid history reader, champion dartsman, an expert cryptic crossword puzzler, humourist and most of all, a devoted grandad. <br /> <br />After fifty-five years of marriage he is survived by his loving wife, Sheila, son Simon, daughter Sarah and her husband, John Sharpe, their sons James and Charles and son, Ian with his daughters, Amanda, Emily and son, Ethan and Philip&rsquo;s great granddaughter, Selena (Amanda). <br /> <br />Private Family gathering in his memory will be held at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville.
